IT'S a fair cop...or rather it's not!

An arresting sight greeted Town's players when they trotted out for Saturday's game at Boston United.

And the antics of the dozen upholders of the law also delighted the 1,370 Town fans who made the 99-mile trip for the Division Three game.

The fancy dress fans were regulars at The Rose & Crown, Netherton, who decided to brighten up Town's first away game of the new season.

Licensee Bruce Armitage said: "It was our first visit as Town fans to a new ground and we thought we'd do something different.

"I bought the hats and the lads then started comparing notes in the pub, about where they bought or got their skirts and underwear!

"The police at Boston were great with us and there was a fantastic atmosphere for the match.

"I think the 2-2 draw was a fair result".
