A LOLLIPOP lady is needed to help children across a busy road.
Kirklees Council is looking for a permanent school crossing patrol on New Mill Road in Holmfirth.
The crossing is used by children from Holmfirth High, Wooldale Juniors and Kirkroyds Infants.
A council spokeswoman said: “We have problems recruiting school crossing patrols. The service they provide is in demand and unfortunately we have very few applications, despite ongoing recruitment campaigns.
“In light of how difficult it can be to cross these roads and how many children need to, the Holmfirth crossing patrol is being replaced with one of our mobile patrols.
“If anyone would like to apply for that, or any crossing patrol vacancy, please contact us on 01484 221 161.”
