Conman Jack Darrell Henry has been jailed.

The man who swindled hundreds of Huddersfield and Yorkshire people out of money in a council tax rebate scam was this afternoon jailed at Leeds Crown Court.

Henry, 47, of Liversedge, had admitted conspiracy to defraud offences .

He was the man behind a Huddersfield-based business, Council Tax Review, which offered people the chance to get rebates in their council tax bills.

But he kept the money they paid up front and is thought to have made more than £250,000.

Henry was jailed for a total of 5 years and 10 months.

One of his former employees, Wendy Smith, 39, of Illingworth, Halifax, was jailed for two years for conspiracy to defraud offences.

A third person, Jack Boon, 59, of Leeds, was given a six-month suspended sentence.
