THE chief executive of Kirklees Council is the latest figure to sign up to help promote a local health campaign.

Rob Vincent has joined a growing band of Change4Life champions in Kirklees working to drive the initiative forward.

Their role is to reinforce the health messages around physical activity and food and to actively support the movement.

Rob said: “I am pleased to support the Change4Life lifestyle revolution and hope to promote physical activity and healthy eating messages through my role within the council.

“I come into contact with many different people so I am sure I will be able to recruit more people to become champions.”

The Change4Life campaign was introduced by the Government to help tackle obesity, which is one of the biggest health challenges facing the country.

In Kirklees the campaign is built on existing programmes to create greater awareness of ways to encourage children, families and adults to lead a healthier way of life.

The lifestyle revolution involves many local charities and organisations, including NHS Kirklees, Kirklees Council and Kirklees Active Leisure.
