POLICE believe this 'couple' may have important information about the theft of a handbag from the giant Ikea store in Birstall.

The black handbag was stolen on Thursday January 11 at 2pm.

The man is white, in his mid 30s, about 5ft 6ins tall and slim with blond or light ginger hair. He wore a long green khaki jacket with a fur hood and blue jeans.

The woman is white, 5ft 3ins with long black hair, a black leather jacket with a grey roll neck jumper, light blue jeans and a white belt.

The bag contained cash and credit cards. One was later used to withdraw money from a cash dispenser in the Beeston area of Leeds.
