RUSH hour traffic on one of Huddersfield’s main commuter routes was held up after a minor crash.

A Peugeot 207 and a Mazda MX5 collided at the junction of Halifax Road and Blacker Road in Edgerton yesterday morning.

Recovery trucks were called in to remove the cars, which came to a stop in the middle of the busy crossroads.

Police attended the incident, shortly after 9am.

There was slight damage to the cars, but no-one was seriously injured in the collision.
