AN elderly couple are critically ill after a bad smash in Almondbury.
Both suffered serious chest injuries when their small Daihatsu car was in a smash with a Ford Escort on Woodsome Road at its junction with St Helen’s Gate at 10.30am yesterday.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called in to take the seriously injured Daihatsu driver direct to Leeds General Infirmary.
