FIRE crews had to use a portable pump to tackle a blaze in a skip.
The Huddersfield crew could not access the rubbish fire in a domestic skip on Old Field House Lane off Leeds Road.
The incident was at 5.10pm yesterday.
It was near the canal which meant the engine could not be brought close enough. No-one was injured.
