A BOY of 15 was hit with a cricket bat by a youth who stole his top.

The victim was playing cricket with a group of friends in the recreation ground off Orchard Terrace, Primrose Hill, at about 8.45pm on Tuesday.

Two older boys approached them and demanded money from them.

When they were unsuccessful, one of the youths asked to try on the 15-year-old's black, hooded top.

When he was refused, he threatened the boy, who then handed it over.

The robber started to walk away and, when the boy protested, he turned round and hit him on the ankle with a cricket bat.

He made off wearing the £80 Evisu top, which had a white symbol on the back.

The attacker was an African-Caribbean aged 16 to 17 and about 5ft 5in tall. He had a scar on his forehead and short, dark hair.

The other youth was of mixed race, aged about 14 and wearing a white baseball cap.
