A MAN who collapsed and died after thieves attacked his car will be cremated next week.

A funeral service for Mr Colin Stuart Armitage, 55, will be held on Monday.

There will be a service at Huddersfield Crematorium at noon.

Mr Armitage lived at Woodsome Lees, Kirkburton. He died of a suspected heart attack early on Sunday.

He had run from his home after hearing his car alarm sound and found thieves had smashed a window.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious, but did appeal for any witnesses to the damage.

A 24-year-old man from Penistone was yesterday arrested by police investigating the events which led up to Mr Armitage's death. He was later bailed pending further inquiries.

Mr Armitage leaves a partner, Pam, two children, Robin and Rachel, and a grandson, Toby.
