A JOBS fair is to be held in one of the parts of Huddersfield hit hard by the recession.

St Barnabas’ Church Hall in Crosland Moor will host the Jobs, Skills and Advice Fair on Thursday between 2.30 and 5.30pm.

The event has been organised by the community group Social Capital Huddersfield (SCH) to provide information, advice and support on a ‘drop-in’ basis to members of the public.

The Jobs, Skills and Advice Fair will also be able to give access to advice and information on dealing with the financial consequences of unemployment or redundancy.

The event follows a similar recent event in Golcar, has the backing of Kirklees Council.
