A MAN was fined after failing to attend a follow-up drugs assessment.
Richard Patton, 23, of Rudding Street in Crosland Moor, was before Kirklees magistrates yesterday.
The Huddersfield bench heard that on June 27 Patton was in custody at Bradford police station.
There he tested positive for having cocaine in his system.
Following this he was offered an initial appointment with the Drugs Intervention Programme.
He then failed to attend a follow-up on August 7.
Patton admitted this, telling magistrates that he forgot about his appointment.
Magistrates ordered him to pay a £150 fine, £85 court costs and £15 victim surcharge.
