A MUSLIM who was banned from Huddersfield mosques because of his disruptive behaviour has been charged with breaching his Asbo.
Samarul Haq, 38, plagued several mosques within a two-mile radius of Huddersfield town centre last year.
He repeatedly interrupted prayers with swearing and threatening language, hit an elderly worshipper with his walking stick, caused offence by showering in a toilet area and threatened two imams.
Haq, of Mill Street, Crosland Moor, was given an anti-social behaviour order banning him from 12 mosques in December.
He is alleged to have breached the order by entering the Hanfi Masjid mosque at Bentley Street in Lockwood on March 13.
He was remanded into custody by Huddersfield magistrates to appear in court on April 4.
