A MAN who left his bag in a Huddersfield town centre bar found himself in trouble with the police.
The bag was handed in to police, who looked inside and found contact details for the 22-year- old Rawthorpe man - along with an illegal CS gas canister.
They asked him to collect the bag from Huddersfield Police Station and arrested him when he turned up.
Det Con Brin Taylor, of Huddersfield CID, said: "The canister is classed as a firearm under the Firearms Act and we treat possession of them extremely seriously."
The man was given police bail pending further inquiries.
