TWO schools are joining forces to promote community cohesion.

King James School and Fartown High School pupils are working together to learn about different cultures.

Last week they met up with Huddersfield Giants players to learn what it’s like for them to live and work in Huddersfield.

While they have also taken part in steel drumming lessons.

Soon they will host a multi-cultured event with Spanish, Asian and Irish food.

Jacqui Armitage from King James said: “The best way for them to learn about different cultures is to experience it – Huddersfield has such a diverse community we want to bring them together.”
