ARTISTIC and cultural groups in the Holme Valley are being invited to apply for grants of up to £500.

The announcement has been made by the One Community Foundation, which was set up last year and involves people from all walks of life who want to help support the community of Kirklees.

They give large donations and then money is given to charities and good causes from the interest.

The Foundation is now offering endowments of up to £500 per organisation through the Longley Farm Grassroots Fund. Applications can be made by not-for-profit organisations and the closing date is Monday, August 8.

The applications can only be from artistic and cultural groups.

The application form must be completed online via the foundation’s website at www.one-community.org.uk

Potential applicants are advised to check the eligibility details carefully and successful applicants will be contacted in October.

Further information is available from One Community on 01484 468397.
