STAFF at Cannon Hall Farm are celebrating cute new arrivals.

A dozen rare Cameroon lambs have been born at the Cawthorne attraction over the past few days.

The cute new additions are now delighting the families that flock to the farm to see the variety of animals there.

Farm director Robert Nicholson said: “The breed is not new to the farm, but we’ve done particularly well with them this year and had a couple of sets of triplets.

“They are of West African origin and very different to traditional sheep. They’re smaller and don’t have wool; they actually look more like goats.

“There’s not many of them in this country, I think there’s only a couple of other collections of them, so it’s nice for the children to be able to see them here.

“They suit our place really well; they are very friendly and are attracting quite a bit of attention. They haven’t got names yet as we let the children name them.”

The new lambs are just a few of the baby animals that have been born at the farm recently. Staff have also welcomed into the world pygmy goats and a llama.
