A HUDDERSFIELD cyclist has been badly hurt in a road accident.

The 35-year-old from Clayton West suffered serious injuries when he was in an accident with a red Austin Metro at Common Lane in Walton, Wakefield, at 7.30am on Monday.

He was "stable" in Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield yesterday.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
