THERE’S no such thing as a free lunch.

But there is a free breakfast for cyclists commuting to Huddersfield.

Kirklees Bike Users’ Group is offering a free panini and coffee at Cafe Amore, King Street, for those who arrive by bike between 8am-11am from next Monday to Friday.

Free food will also be available after dark for Muslim cyclists observing Ramadan.

The third annual event hopes to recruit more members for the group.

It was established in 1998 and provides information for cyclists and campaigns for cycle safety and bike- friendly facilities.

Group coordinator Chris Wilby said: “We hope to demonstrate how you can cycle to work quite easily. It’s good for the environment as it takes people out of cars.

“With more bikes on the road it will be safer for cyclists because motorists will become more aware of them.”
