FORTY keen cyclists cycled miles for charity - without going outdoors.

Teams from the Stadium Health and Fitness Club and from Huddersfield Sports Centre, who regularly take part in studio cycling classes, joined forces for the gruelling three-hour session.

All the instructors - Simon Courtney, Tania Fisher, Jane Oates and Holly Stenhouse - gave up their time for free to take part at Huddersfield Sports Centre.

Organiser Marc Hampshire, gym manager at the Stadium, said: "Studio cycling gives a great cardio workout. Instructors teach different cycling drills to music, simulating long slow hill climbs and downhill fast sprints to high energy music. It's noisy and fun."

All money raised will go to West Yorkshire Forget-Me-Not Trust, whose aim is to build a children's respite centre and hospice in Huddersfield.
