CYCLISTS have been invited to explore sections of the future Calder Valley Greenway.
The ride is organised this Saturday by Kirklees Cultural and Leisure Services and Huddersfield Cycle Touring Club.
Anyone who would like to take part is invited to meet John Gleadow, Kirklees Countryside Access Officer, outside the Galpharm Stadium off Leeds Road, Huddersfield at 10am for the short 12-mile ride. It is expected to take around three hours, returning to the Stadium for around 1pm.
The ride will use sections of canal towpath and new sections of the Calder Valley Greenway.
A short detour will be made to look at links into the Birkby Bradley Greenway via Colliery Bridge, and a possible link into Calderdale using Lower Quarry Road.
