HOSPICE staff are asking people to donate their old winter clothes.
The Kirkwood Hospice charity shops are running very low on stock this year – and it may be due to the recession.
Angela Dyson, retail co-ordinator for the Dalton hospice, said: “People seem to be hanging on to their winter clothes for another year.
“Instead of getting a new winter coat and donating their old one, they are giving it another wear.
“We’ve got 14 shops that are running low on winter clothes.
“Normally there is sufficient, but this year is different.
“We’re just appealing to people who haven’t yet had a clear-out to donate some of their winter coats and clothes.”
