A TEENAGER has escaped punishment after smashing the window of a bar after a night out drinking.
Corey Tyrell, 19, admitted breaking the window at the Zephyr Bar on King Street.
Huddersfield magistrates heard the incident happened on July 24 after the bar closed.
Some of the staff were enjoying a drink when they saw the teenager kick the window, causing it to shatter.
The large window, which measures four metres by three metres, cost £3,000 to replace.
Magistrates were told that Tyrell, of Grosvenor Road in Dalton, had no previous convictions.
Magistrates gave him a conditional discharge for 12 months.
They also ordered him to pay £85 costs.
