WHEN the Second World War ended people danced in the streets to celebrate.
So what better way to mark that historic moment 60 years on than by dancing?
Veterans and today's adults and youngsters are being invited to an anniversary dance in Huddersfield Town Hall on Wednesday, August 10.
Guests are being encouraged to get into the mood for the evening of nostalgia by dressing in 1940s costumes.
The dance will be compered by Stuart Holland and run from 7pm to 10pm.
It will feature music by Midnight Bourbon and Swing of Things.
Entry is free but pre- booking is essential as numbers are limited.
