A DANCE school's annual show raised cash for a Huddersfield- based charity.

More than 80 pupils, aged from three to 18, of the Karen Binns Stage School in Elland starred in the show at the town's Brooksbank School over two nights.

Local businesses had given prizes for a charity raffle, which brought in money for the Laura Crane Trust.

The charity raises money for research into cancers affecting teenagers and also helps to improve the quality of life for teenage cancer patients in hospital.

Karen Binns said: "The dancers have been working hard on this performance for six months."

The dances covered ballet, tap and modern and the performance included popular numbers from the Wizard Of Oz, Grease, Mary Poppins and Fame.
