HANNAH Whiteley (pictured) has the world at her feet.

The former pupil of Greenhead College, Huddersfield, was all set to study medicine at Imperial College, London, after gaining four grade As at A-level.

But 18-year-old Hannah has decided to put medicine on hold and pursue her dream to dance on the West End stage and perform all over the world.

The future looks bright for the talented Outlane dancer who has just won through to the final of the Miss Dance of Great Britain 2004 competition, which will be held in Sheffield.

As a result of her performance at the regional heat in Darfield, Barnsley, she was offered a choice of three scholarships.

She has chosen to take up the offer from Bird College, Kent.

She will now spend the next three years studying for a BA honours degree in dance and theatre performance.

She said: "I have been dancing for 15 years, since I was three years old.

"My favourites are modern and ballet but at college I will also be learning singing and drama."
