YOUNG performers are celebrating their success in a dance competition.

The pupils from Tristan Dance Studios in Lockwood wowed the judges when they took part in a three-day dance festival in Dewsbury.

The group, aged three to 10, won a clutch of medals and trophies in a variety of categories, including tap, ballet and modern dance.

Their teacher Elizabeth Haigh said: “I’m very proud of them. It was quite a big festival with a few hundred dancers competing from all over Yorkshire.

“For quite a few of them it was their first time on stage, so they have done very well.”

The winners were:
