THREE young dancers have won prestigious scholarships.
The trio are from the Georgie School of Theatre Dance in Shelley.
Georgia Coulston, 10, from Upper Cumberworth, has won a place at the Northern Ballet in Leeds.
Sarah Davies, 19, and Courtney George, 15, of Shepley have won places on a summer course at the Bird Academy in London.
Courtney has also won a place at the Urdang Academy in London for a year’s training every Sunday.
Her mum Donna runs the dance school in Shelley.
She said: “This is just fantastic for us. I think the girls’ success is down to their commitment and the opportunities we give them.”
Georgie School of Theatre Dance has 300 students aged three to 18.
Donna said: “We train them in all aspects of musical, theatre and street dance, drama and singing.”
