HOLLYOAKS and Dancing on Ice star Kieran Richardson got help off a Lockwood dance tutor about moving his hips .

Kieran, one of the contestants on ITV1 show Dancing on Ice, visited the Huddersfield dance studios of Tristan and Lindsay Edgar last week.

Tristan taught Kieran some disco moves in preparation for last weekend’s 70s themed week on the ice.

Kieran scored a 15 for his dance, coming 7th on the leader board of 14 with his partner Brianne Delcourt.

Tristan, who appeared on the TV showing Kieran some moves said: “It was a great experience and Kieran was a nice guy who listened to our advice and went out onto the ice and did a great job.

“He was a bit nervous wiggling his hips to start off with but by the time he left all his nerves had gone I think.

“I watched the show and thought he did a really good job, I’d have given him a high mark.”

The couple, who run the dance studios at Meltham Road, Lockwood, teach dance to people aged as young as 17-months-old.

Lindsay Edgar added: “We got a call saying that Kieran was training in Bradford and getting ready for disco week and could he come along and get some advice from us as we specialise in disco.

“Kieran was here for about four hours and he did really well.”
