BRITAIN’S Got Talent dancing sensation, George Sampson, waltzed his way to Kirklees.
He was in Birstall to present Heather Day with Kwik Fit Insurance’s UK Lollipop Person of the Year title.
Heather has scooped the UK crown after a nationwide search brought in more than 15,000 entries.
As well as winning £1,500 in holiday vouchers, Heather won a special performance from George for St Peter’s Junior Infant and Nursery pupils.
Pupils and teachers were treated to a show-stopping personal performance from the 15 year-old star, who also signed autographs for the children.
Heather was also awarded her very own golden lollipop trophy.
Heather has patrolled outside St Peter’s Church of England Aided Junior Infant and Nursery School in Birstall for the last 22 years.
She said: “I can’t believe I’ve been named Lollipop Person of the Year – it’s so overwhelming. I’m delighted to represent St Peter’s as it’s such a wonderful school”.
