Prepare to fish our your swimming cossies as Halifax puts on an aquatic fundraiser.
The town’s Woolshops Shopping Centre will host a huge water slide to raise money for Elland’s Overgate Hospice on Saturday, August 13.
The 70m inflatable slide, sponsored by Town Hall Dental, will run straight through the middle of the shopping centre.
Slides can be booked in half-hour sessions - but you can book more than one!

The Slip and Slide event is the Hospice’s first of its kind and is part of a string of fundraisers marking its 35th anniversary.
All sponsorship for the event will go towards providing palliative care for patients with life-limiting illnesses at the hospice.
Fundraising manager Laura Whitham said: “We are really looking forward to bringing such a fun-filled event to town. It’s a great way to celebrate our 35th anniversary.”
