A FESTIVAL to promote mental health was held at Huddersfield University.

The Festival of Wellbeing was part of World Mental Health Day.

It included complementary therapies, live music and theatre, laughter therapy workshops together with arts and crafts.

The event, aimed at teaching people the importance of looking after their mental health, included information and advice stalls.

University chancellor and screen star Patrick Stewart said: “Holding an event in the university to make World Mental Health Day is an important initiative.

“It helps to raise awareness of what services and resources are available to offer support to those affected by mental health issues.”
