DEAN Hoyle has taken full control of Huddersfield Town – but is still waiting for his share of the Galpharm.

Yesterday, Town announced that its chairman has completed the purchase of the club from former owner Ken Davy.

Mr Davy has stepped down as a director and has been made life president of the club.

But Mr Hoyle is still waiting to take a 40% share in Kirklees Stadium Development Ltd (KSDL), the company which owns the Galpharm.

KSDL is 40% owned by Kirklees Council, with the Huddersfield Giants holding 20%.

The remaining 40% is currently held by Huddersfield Sporting Pride, owned by Mr Davy. In December he agreed to pass these shares to Huddersfield Town.

However, he needs the council’s consent to go ahead with the transfer.

A statement from Town yesterday said the club felt "great disappointment" that Kirklees hadn’t yet granted consent.

A council spokeswoman said yesterday: "We are still in discussions with both parties on this issue".
