A 31-YEAR-OLD man will appear in court today charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a father and son died in a car crash on the M62 at the weekend.
Imran Hussain, of Como Avenue, Bradford, has also been charged with making threats to kill and driving while under the influence of alcohol, a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said.
He will appear at Rochdale Magistrates Court today.
Gary Proctor, 47, and his son James, 16, from Wakefield, died in hospital after their Fiat Punto collided with an Audi Quattro on the M62 in Greater Manchester on Sunday.
Mr Proctor’s wife and James’s mother, Catherine, 44, was also seriously injured in the collision. She is currently in a stable condition in hospital being treated for broken ribs and a broken arm.
The family had been driving to Manchester Airport to fly to America.
The collision happened on the westbound carriageway of the motorway between junctions 19 and 20 at Rochdale and close to Birch Services just before 6am on Sunday.
