MR William Ironside, a consultant surgeon in Huddersfield for many years, has died aged 80.
Mr Ironside, known as Bob, died at his Fixby home after a long illness.
He was a specialist in the ear, nose and throat department at the Royal Infirmary for 26 years.
Mr Ironside was also a top golfer and represented Scotland at various levels.
His funeral is at 2.30pm on Monday at Huddersfield Crematorium.
