HERO flyer Vic Cardnell lost his four-year battle against cancer yesterday.
Vic, 49, died at 11.50am, just days after completing a 2,000-mile aerial trek to raise cash for charity CancerBacup.
Father-of-three Vic, from Oldfield Road in Honley, was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2001. Last April he was told the condition was incurable.
He then set out to raise cash for the charity, which offers advice to sufferers and their families.
