KIRKHEATON: A decision on traffic-calming measures in the village will be made next month by Kirklees Council's Cabinet. Public consultation on the plans was completed at the end of last month. The parish council says the plans have too many mini- roundabouts. The parish councillors also said the scheme concentrated too much on the top half of the village and ignored the stretch from Town Road to St Mary's Lane. They added that parking problems near the post office had also not been considered.
