A MUM accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent after her stiletto heel went into a man’s eye has had her trial delayed.

Staci Hargreaves, 34, from Stalybridge, Cheshire, has denied causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Gavin Taylor and her case was due for trial at Bradford Crown Court yesterday.

But when the case was called on yesterday afternoon Judge John Potter apologised for the fact that there was no court available to hear it and set a new fixed trial date for August 2.

The charge arises out of an incident in a taxi after the couple had been on a night out in Huddersfield in February.

At the time it was reported that Mr Taylor was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and later transferred to Leeds General Infirmary after the stiletto heel penetrated his eye socket and touched his brain.

Hargreaves’ trial is due to last about three days and Judge Jonathan Potter extended her conditional bail until that date.
