A MAN accused of murdering a former university student in Huddersfield has had his case adjourned until February.

Leon Hutchinson, 22, of no fixed address, was charged with murder after the death of 33-year-old Nigerian Oluwadamilola Obafemi Wilson at a Newsome house in May.

The victim, who had been an architecture student at Huddersfield University, was found dead at the house in Bent Street, just off Newsome Road.

The Recorder of Bradford, Judge Stephen Gullick, was told that since September Hutchinson had been remanded to Rampton Hospital for an assessment of his mental state and his fitness to plead.

Judge Gullick ordered that Hutchinson's custody time limit be extended.

He ordered that Hutchinson be brought back to Bradford Crown Court next February 27.
