Denby Dale Conservatives choose candidate for 2012 local elections

DENBY Dale Conservatives have announced Clr John Cook will stand for a second term at next year’s local elections.

Clr Cook was elected as a Kirklees councillor in 2008 alongside fellow Tories Clr Jim Dodds and Clr Elaine Ward.

Clr Cook said he was delighted to be adopted as the Conservative candidate. Branch chairman, Christopher Ward, said: “I am very pleased at John’s adoption as continuity is a vital aspect of the local service our district and parish councilors give to the community and often not known or properly publicised.”
