PLANS are underway to give Denby Dale’s old folk a treat.
An afternoon of music and entertainment will feature at the Denby Dale and Cumberworth Gathering.
Brass bands, music hall singers and soloists will entertain pensioners while they enjoy a light tea.
The event takes place at the Pie Hall on Saturday, April 24, from 3pm until 7.30pm.
Transport can be arranged for people unable to walk very far, but if you’re not able to get there, a packed tea can be provided to be picked up by a friend or relative.
During April volunteers will call at houses to hand out free tickets, but pensioners can still attend even without a ticket.
