Detectives have confirmed they are investigating the deaths of three men which are being linked to drugs.
The latest incident happened yesterday when a 47-year-old man was found dead at his home in Dorset Walk, Dewsbury.
He has since been named as Trevor Barlow.
Scenes of crime and forensic investigators joined police at the scene for much of yesterday.
His death comes just weeks after a man was found collapsed in Dewsbury Market Hall on November 14 and later died in hospital.
A 51-year-old man also died on November 28 at his home address in Dewsbury town centre.
All three deaths happened within a half-a-mile radius in Dewsbury.
Det Insp Andy Parr of Huddersfield CID said: “We are investigating three recent drugs deaths.
“Obviously it’s dangerous to take drugs in any event and there is always a risk with these kind of offences.
“There is no indication that there was a bad batch of heroin but as with any drugs death, toxicology will now map the result.”
Police confirmed test results could take at least two week.
