A LIBRARY is extending its opening hours.

Kirklees Council announced yesterday that from April Dewsbury Library will open on weekdays at 9.30am rather than 10am. It will continue to open at 9am on Saturdays.

Closing times are not affected by the change.

From April 6 the library will be open from 9.30am to 7.30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays and from 9.30am to 5pm on Wednesdays and Fridays.

On Thursdays the library will be open from 9.30am to 8pm and on Saturdays from 9am to 4pm.

The Railway Street venue runs a readers’ group on Thursdays from 11am to 12.30pm and story time for under-fives on Wednesdays from 10.30am to 11.15am.
