A man's two cars and garden wall were hit by a drink-driver.

Adrian Fish, of Field Street in Dewsbury, admitted driving while over the prescribed limit. The 35-year-old was at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

At just after 11pm on December 26, Fish was seen driving onto Sunny Bank Road in Mirfield. He first pulled in front of the witness, causing her to brake, before colliding with a transit van.

This vehicle then hit a Renault Megane which then went into the garden wall. All of these belonged to an occupant of the same house. Both vehicles suffered extensive damage.

Following a positive roadside breath test he was arrested. Due to a fault with the breathalyser machine, Fish gave a urine sample.

This showed that he had 249 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of urine.

The legal limit is 107 milligrammes.

Magistrates banned Fish from driving for 18 months.

He was also ordered to pay £125 fine, £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.
