BUDDING photographers have been challenged to come up with some stunning shots of Castle Hill.
Sofa retailer DFS asked customers to name their three favourite local landmarks as part of events to mark last year’s opening of its new store at Phoenix Retail Park, Leeds Road.
The tower at Castle Hill proved the most popular – with Huddersfield railway station in second place and Beaumont Park third.
Now DFS has launched a photography competition to find the best shot of Castle Hill and its tower, to hang in the store.
Area manager Adam Hankinson said: “We spent a great deal of time getting to know the local community in Huddersfield and we really wanted to find out what it was about this town that inspired them, what building or landmark really summed up Huddersfield and made them proud.”
Adam said: “We are looking for that really special shot that captures the tower in a really special and beautiful way.
“The winning shot will take pride of place in the store for everyone to view.”
The deadline is January 31. Send your picture by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or sending a CD in the post to DFS Huddersfield, A View From A Sofa, Euro RSCG, 3rd Floor, 52 Princess Street, Manchester, M1 6JX.
