A CELEBRATORY dinner will be held to mark the 10th anniversary of the Galpharm Stadium.

Stadium bosses are throwing out an invitation for people to attend the landmark occasion.

The black-tie function will be attended by Sir John Harman, who helped get the stadium off the ground when he was Kirklees Council leader.

Sir John is now chairman of the Environment Agency.

Other guests will include Huddersfield MP Barry Sheerman and former stadium chief executive John Fletcher.

The event will be held on Saturday October 30 at the stadium.

Ralph Rimmer, present chief executive, said: "The dinner is being held to celebrate the past 10 years and herald the start of the next 10.

"I would like anybody associated with the stadium at any point in the last 10 years to come."

Comedian Johnny Casson and swing band Three Men and a Bass will entertain.

Tickets costs £40 a head.
