THE future of Calderdale is up for debate.
Calderdale Council has completed the early stages of consultation upon how the area will develop over the next 15 years.
The new plan, called the Core Strategy, will shape the Calderdale of 2026, looking at housing, employment, town centres, leisure and transport.
The Council’s response to the comments made on this early consultation are now available on the Council’s website (www.calderdale.gov.uk)
Clr Amanda Byrne, Portfolio Holder for Regeneration and Development, said: “The Core Strategy will lead decisions upon development in Calderdale for the next 15 years.
“I am very pleased that residents and businesses have taken the time and effort to give us their views on this important document.
“It’s important that anyone who is interested in how Calderdale will look and function as a place in 2026 gets involved in future consultations.”
