CHILDREN at Fixby Junior and Infant School celebrated their

diversity during a special day at the school. They played party games and had special food during the event to

mark the variety of festivals and celebrations which have occurred in the last month. The festivals have included Diwali, Eid, All Saints' Day, Sikh

figurehead Guru Nanak's birthday and Black History Month. Local rapper Patrick Gayle, alias Foxy, who works in local schools,

gave a performance celebrating black achievement including inventors of the ironing board and light bulb and input in the medical profession. Teacher Helen Stephens is pictured (back left) with Patrick (back
