SANTA may have 49 days to go before making an appearance in Huddersfield homes, but a motor sales company is already getting into the Christmas spirit.
Employees of Dixon Nissan, Leeds Road, are joining in this year's Operation Christmas Child.
This is the fifth year that Dixon Motors has supported the international Christian charity, which sends gift-filled shoeboxes to underprivileged children in Eastern Europe.
Every Dixon dealership in the region is acting as a shoebox drop-off point throughout November, where schools, community groups, parents and children can donate their shoebox gifts.
The Dixon team is hoping to collect 35,000 boxes. Last year, more than 30,000 shoeboxes were collected by the Dixon dealership across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
