A FILM-MAKER is appealing for local people to come forward with their memories of the Sex Pistols' last-ever UK gig.
The landmark event took place at the former Ivanhoes club in Manchester Road, Huddersfield, - now the Lidl supermarket - on Christmas Day, 1977.
The gig was to raise money for firefighters, who were striking at the time.
The band played a matinee show for the firefighters' children and gave out cake and presents.
Later that night they rocked the club again for older audiences.
Now, Leeds-based independent film-maker Peter Spence wants to capture memories of the day.
He said: "I'm a fan of the band and I thought it was a lovely story. A bit of a labour of love for me, really.
"The national Press were painting the band as people who wanted to corrupt the youth, almost anti-Christ.
"Yet they were putting on this concert for children."
Anyone who remembers the concert can contact Mr Spence on 0113 262 0622 or 07951 364559.
